I have watched them both blossom socially, spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically. I am excited to help children do the same as a teacher at Charity. I enjoy reading, art, crafts, dogs, and learning to garden."

2023 was my first year teaching full time at Charity and I can’t wait to meet the newest pre-k class. I have been substituting at Charity for a few years and finally decided to jump all in! I’ve lived in the Creeds area my whole life and couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. I am a mother of two wonderful children, ages 9 and 6. (Both graduated from Charity.) And I know this is the best preschool because I graduated from here myself many years ago! When I’m not in the classroom, you can find me on the beach with my family, in the garden with our dog Millie, or drinking a big cup of coffee with a good book

I'm a local girl, born and raised, who lives in Pungo and a member of Charity Church. I have been married 25 years with two beautiful daughters, (who both attended Charity Preschool), and 4 sweet, furry cat "sons"! At our preschool I don't feel like I "work" with children but I have the awesome chance to play with them sharing in moments of creating, experimenting and exploring!

My name is Kim, the Navy brought my family and I to Virginia Beach in 2016. We quickly fell in love with the area and the people and decided to make it our “forever home” last year. We made the dream move to Pungo last year and couldn’t be happier. I have 2 daughters (10 and 13) and have volunteered at their schools since they were in kindergarten. There is nothing I love more than watching children learn and getting to know I had a small part in it. When I’m not selling houses as a local Realtor, I enjoy reading, yoga, being out on the boat with my family, and playing with our beagle mix, Trigger.

Mentor

Ms Susan has been at Charity Preschool since 1994 and is the cornerstone of our preschool program. It is hard to think of Charity without thinking of Susan Flanagan. Her gentle spirit and thoughtful manner has been a source of light and inspiration to the staff, students and families for over 26 years!

I worked at Charity Preschool for over 25 years. I have 2 children and 4 grandchildren. All 4 have attended Charity Preschool and loved their time there. When my children were in school, I always volunteered at their schools. I have always loved being with children. I still volunteer at Creeds Elementary School. I hope I can make a little bit of difference in a child's love of learning. There's nothing better than seeing the light in a child's eyes when they master a simple concept such as using scissors correctly. There is one thing better - when you get a hug from a child and an "I love you".
